About me and the blog

Hello! I'm KittyBird, a longhaired gal from the (not particularly) cold Northern Europe. I started this blog a few years ago, because I wanted to document my journey to long hair and show pictures my hair accessories. Since then things have changed, and I'm not so into haircare anymore. Nowadays I use this blog to show off my crafty things instead, like kanzashi flowers and crochet, and occasionally some pictures of my hair and my hair accessories.

  1. Hey Kitty,

why do you use henna only for roots? I use it for all hair. i love the hairfeeling after henna.

your hennahair looks so good. henna makes a beautyful haircolour.

    1. Thank you very much! :)
I only henna my roots because it's easier and takes less time. It takes ages to put the mud on all of my hair, and rinsing it out again is such a nightmare. I prefer to keep things as simple as possible.

  2. Aah ok i understand ;)
My hair are very thick, too. I have pieces of mud on my hair after rinsing it out. it takes a long time if everything out there.

  3. KittyBird, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love Henna also. What type of Henna do you use and what conditioner are you using as a leave-in? This is my first day discovering your blog and I am enjoying reading through it! :)

    1. Thank you, Margaret! I use a henna I buy at a local store, I'm not sure what type it is. It just says 'Henna' on the bag. As for leave-in, I use a cheap coney conditioner, the same one that I use as the final C in CWC. The brand is First Price. I also like Nightblooming's Panacea. :)

  4. Hello Kitty, I love long hair, my measure 112 cm for now, but I would like them even longer!
Have you ever tried to make oil wraps? type castor, coconut etc ...?
I do that compresses every wash once a week, I'm lucky to have hair that does not get dirty easily!

    1. Hi Deborah! It sounds like our hair is around the same length, though I haven't measured my hair in a long while. It was around 100 cm last time I measured. I used to do oil wraps and deep oiling with coconut and castor oil, but nowadays I don't usually do it. I only oil my scalp before washing, and put a tiny bit of oil and Nightblooming's panacea on it after washing. :)
